Panagiotis E. Petrakis

Panagiotis E. Petrakis is Emeritus Professor in the Department of Economics at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, where he served as Director of the Sector of International Economics and Development in 1998-2002 and 2009-2020. He serves as Scientific Coordinator of Distance Education Training Programs since 2021.
He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Athens, an MSc from the University of Sterling and doctorate from the University of Athens.
He was chairman of the Department of Economics at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens the period 2005-2009. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and monographs, and has extensive publications in recognized academic journals (Journal of Business Research, Small Business Economics, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Socio-Economics and International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal) in a variety of disciplines including economic development, entrepreneurship and cultural background.
He is the author of more than 26 monographs in topics related to European and Greek growth, crisis, and economic policy. He is the author of a series of textbooks on investment valuation, banking, economic growth and entrepreneurship, taught at Greek universities too. Furthermore, he has served as a board member in scientific committees in the private and the public sector

Kyriaki H. Kauka

Kyriaki H. Kauka holds a PhD in Economics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She also holds two Postgraduate Degrees, “Applied Economics and Finance” and “Economics”, Department of Economics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is a graduate of the Department of Economics of the same educational institution. She has authored three books, two of which have been published by Palgrave MacMillan internationally and by a domestic publishing house (Ropi Publications). She has also written numerous chapters that have been included in books and edited volumes. These books have been published by international publishing houses such as Palgrave MacMillan, INtechOpen and IGI Global. Her research work is complemented by scientific articles that have been published in distinguished scientific journals such as the Journal of Business Research and the Journal of Innovation and Knowledge, while she has participated in international peer-reviewed scientific conferences and has taken part in several research projects.

Dionysios G. Valsamis

PhD Candidate in Economics, Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) since 2015. Graduate from the Department of Economics, of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (bachelor degree, 2008). Master degrees “Economic Science MPhilEcon” (2015) and “Applied Economics and Finance” (2009), in the same department. Since 2009, he joins the Research Committee of University of Athens, where he performs working papers, reference texts, analysis and reports of scientific content, edit and collect data on the medium-long term prospects of the Greek economy, institutional and cultural background, the effectiveness of economic theory and the pursuit of economic policy for programs for supplementary education using innovative distance education, in the Vocational Distance Training Center of the NKUA. He is co-author of the book “General Economic Development and Growth” (2018, “Ropi” Publications) and the book “European Economics and Politics in the Fragmented European Federation” published by Springer in 2013. He has published articles in scientific journals such as the “Journal of Business Research” and the “Journal of Innovation and Knowledge”, contributions to international scientific conferences with judges and collective volumes, and has taken part in research projects. As a PhD Candidate, he has taught in the Department of Economics, of the NKUA: Political Economy of Development and Growth, Applied Economic Development, Special Issues of Economic Development: Entrepreneurship, Evaluation and Analysis of Investment Decisions, Banking Economic and Economic Policy in the Greek Economy, as well as the following courses of the Applied Economics and Finance ECAC: Topics of Greek, European and World Economy and Topic Development of the Greek Economy. Giorgos Vasilis is a researcher in the Department of Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
